Connect Steel Hands to Claude

Add Steel Hands as a custom connector in Claude. You can use Steel Hands with or without an account.

If the setup window does not open, open Claude connector settings and add a custom connector. Open Claude connector settings

Add the connector

Choose Connect to Claude. Sign in to Claude if asked, then select Add custom connector.
Enter the server URL https://steel-handsmcp-server-production.up.railway.app/mcp. No client ID or client secret is needed; Claude discovers the OAuth setup when an account-only tool needs it.
Review the requested access and approve the Steel Hands sign-in only if you want to use account features. You can cancel and still use anonymous review tools.
Return to Claude, finish adding the connector, and ask it to save a test conviction review. Confirm the connector is enabled in Settings → Connectors.

What works without signing in

Anonymous tools can save and read conviction reviews, and can start a history transfer when you request it. Keep the returned anonymous_user_id private and unchanged in the conversation so Claude can find that history later.

Trade checks, portfolio lists, and decision logging need your Steel Hands account and OAuth consent. These tools can access only the account you authorize. They do not place or block trades.

If an access token is expired or rejected, sign in again when Claude asks. A rejected account request is never retried anonymously.

If setup does not finish

If you cancel or deny consent, return to connector settings and try again when ready. Anonymous review tools remain available without granting account access.

If Claude does not return from sign-in, reopen the connector settings and retry. Complete the browser approval page before switching back to Claude.

If Steel Hands does not appear as connected, refresh Claude's connector settings and confirm it is enabled. Remove an incomplete entry and add it again if needed.
